"Sun-Nyeo-Tang"-Fairy's Pool. Legend has it that fairy maidens came down from heaven to bathe here.

The autumn color wasn't quite at its peak but what it lacked was more than made up by all the different red colors worn by the hikers.

On our way up the very steep trail leading to the top 'Heul-lim-goal'. The weather was unseasonably warm. We were the only two not wearing the hiker's uniform. We didn't know that we would stand out so much by wearing white, khaki, and black.

Towards the top of the hike. With the soothing sounds of the stream running on the side of the trail, it was very tranquil and beautiful.

At the bottom of the national park where we had our choice of many restaurants. We ate "bi-bim-bap", BBQ fish, and a glass of dong-dong-ju (Korean rice wine). A perfect finish to our hike.

Hi Gene, we are in Bejing right now (10/17/08, 11PM). No, we didn't climb to the top; if you want to, you have to sleep over at least 1 night in this area. We came on a day tour; our guide gave us 4 hours to do a hike and eat lunch. We climbed as much as we could; our legs still ache from it. and yes!!! dam-poong was very aum-da-wossuh! Not at peak season yet!
Oops, I didn't spell "arum-dah-wussuh" correctly!
You know what I noticed? You two look so much younger in these recent pictures.. Especially in the one here dad's wearing the white shirt w/ khakis!
